Our journey to today’s Blymosurfaces started 16 years ago. We supplied to Mr. Laurent Guigues,
the CEO/owner of Bati Orient, who was working as an agent dealing in the stone paving products.
Even though being agents did not leave sufficient margins with both of us, we were hell-bent to
create and trade new artistic stone products which are cost-effective and user friendly.
In spite all the financial constraints, around 2004, Bati orient was incorporated in France and
Sylvann was established in India. Mr. Laurent created and designed products as per European
tastes and we manufactured them.
Initial years were not at all smooth due to inappropriate team and the obstacles in developing and
manufacturing a product that has already not being produced in the market. To top it up,
we had to cope up with the long-lasted unethical practices of natural stone business. It became very
difficult to meet the requirements and as a result, we lost all our savings and landed into debt.
It was so sad that in an era when world got on a single platform and exposure and trading was god-speed,
it was so difficult for us to cope up with the new found markets just because we had to stick to the
mundane working practices of the factory owners. And to top it us, no one was interested in supporting ,
investing nor supplying a “non-rajasthani”.
We gradually overcame these obstacles and started supplying mosaics and other natural stone products, one after another. In 2007, we collaborated with SK Natuursteen and opened up five showrooms in Holland. We even opened an office in China and executed projects in Hungary, Denmark and Morocco. Soon, Bati Orient also became the largest importer of mosaic products, the position that they proudly hold even today.
When the world-trade collapsed with the global financial recession in 2008-09, we lost every thing again and had to shut down our showrooms in Holland, we could again able to reestablish ourselves due to our creative and exclusive mosaics and the support we got from Bati Orient. We ventured into USA and Gulf countries with Bati Orient and developed mosaics for their tastes. In 2012, we started Blymosurfaces with an agreement of exclusivity with Bati-orient just to cater the Indian and Asian market.
Blymosurfaces has around 80 dealers all over India. We would like to join hands with sincere, dedicated and like-minded dealers and showroom owners, extending our best support to aide in display and marketing. Our first encouraging opening was in Mumbai with Mr. Samir Rachh, the owner of Samir Ceramics (P) Ltd. , We thank Mr. Samir and we will always strive to work with for years to come.
